Position Summary: The Trading Operations Analyst will work directly alongside the trading desk to support daily trade execution, settlement, and reconciliation activities across multiple asset classes. This role ensures the smooth flow of transactions from execution through post-trade processing, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and risk mitigation. The analyst will act as a key liaison between traders, counterparties, and back-office teams, leveraging deep knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards to manage trade confirmations, settlements, and cash movements efficiently.
 
The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of trade lifecycle processes, global financial markets, and operational controls within a fast-paced trading environment. Attention to detail, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication are critical to success in this role.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and reconcile trades in internal systems.
  • Coordinate with brokers and custodians to ensure timely trade settlements.
  • Monitor trade settlements and identify any root causes for failed trades.
  • Perform daily trade reconciliations between internal systems and external counterparties.
  • Monitor incoming/outgoing SWIFT traffic to ensure timely message delivery and acknowledgement.
  • Investigate and resolve failed or unmatched trades on CTM.
  • Develop and streamline operational workflows to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline.
  • Experience with SWIFT message processing.
  • Experience with DTCC CTM and ALERT is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
